On a date that most of us Gulf Coast residents will remember for years to come, the Beau Rivage will kick-off the WPT’s “Gulf Coast Poker Championship”.

The first series of events will begin on Wednesday August 29th, 2007 - the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. The event will culminate on Thursday September 6th, with the beginning of the WPT Championship event.

The final day will be Sunday September 9th, and will include the WPT’s filming of the final table.

If you would like a shot at the big-time without fronting the $10,000 entry fee, you can play in the Gulf Coast Poker Championship Mega Satellites which cost between $540 and $1060. These satellites reward the winner with an entry into the Championship Event. The $540 satellites begin August 29th and are each day at 4:00pm.
