Poker Room Review
Location and Size: The poker room at the Hollywood Casino is located on the second floor near the buffet and the fine dining restaurant Tuscany. With only 6 tables, the Hollywood has one of the smaller poker rooms on the coast.
Comps: You earn $1 per hour of play in the poker room with your player’s card. The comps continue to accrue and can be used at any of the restaurants and even the gift shop.
Room Rate: The Hollywood Casino has a special poker room rate of $49 Sunday-Thursday and $79 on Friday and Saturday. I am not aware of any certain play requirements to get the special rate.
Bad Beat Jackpot: The requirements are aces-full-of-jacks beaten by four-of-a-kind of better, with 50% going to the losing hand, 25% to the winning hand, and 25% to the remaining players that were dealt in the hand.
Overall: If you like a small room with good games, Hollywood Casino is a quality choice. The majority of the dealers are very friendly and professional. In addition to the comps that continue to accrue day-after-day, they offer complimentary hotdogs to poker players.
