I've been on pokernews pretty much constantly getting updates on the going-ons of the Main Event.

My man, Gus is still in it. But, so is Phil... Hrm... well... There's always some bad with the good. LOL

One day maybe I'll be good enough or have enough to play that tournament.

I check pokernews every once in awhile.

As far as Phil vs Gus - I'd take Phil any day. :P Is Gus your favorite player?

If you had to be good to play the ME the field would be cut in half - maybe more.

Personally, I'd love to play several of the lower buy-in events, esp. the $1,500 HORSE Event.

I'm really going to focus this year on my business + building a substantial bankroll. We need to put together a crew to rent a house in Vegas for next June/July. Anyone down?

Yeah, I'm pretty big fan of Gus. I know Phil is a great player, I just think he's a big baby. Suck it up... I mean, you've got 11 bracelets... that fact alone would allow me to take bad beats a lot better. And when someone does make a good play against him, he's starts whining that the person should never be playing the hand, i.e. play like Phil wants you to play so he can beat you. Drives me crazy.

That would be cool. I'm looking to place in at least a couple of big local tournaments first. If I do, I'll definitely join you next year.

My bad, I thought you were talking about Phil Ivey. I'm not much of a Hellmuth fan either. Did you read about the hand where some kid bluffed him and Mike Matusow? Mike started saying "show the bluff" and when the guy showed the bluff Hellmuth laid into him. After Phil berated the guy for several minutes the tournament director was called over and gave Phil a penalty where he would lose a whole round of play. He later spoke with officials and had the penalty reversed. They probably didn't want to get berated either.

Cool man. If you can think of anyone else, feel free to recruit.

LOL! Yeah. My girlfriend and I actually got into a semi-argument about that... I'm all for giving Phil Hellmuth penalties, but my GF thought wasn't deserved.

So Tiffany Michelle didn't make it either... I don't know who to pull for in the final nine players, so I'm probably just going to enjoy some good poker and not really pull for any one.

Yeah, I'm a bit disappointed about her not making it. A final table hottie would be great for poker and the final table coverage.

I feel the same about the final 9. I'm sure ESPN will do a good job highlighting each one and their ME journey.
