Hi,
I'm Charlene, Kevin G's wife and co-founder of GCP. I love to play poker. No really-I love to play. Actually Kevin and I play most weekends for our "date night". I'd say he's one lucky guy... About a week ago we chopped for first and second in a single table tournament at the Silver Slipper. I decided not to take him down that particular day. Of course I'm only kidding.

My day job and passion is teaching children. I'm an elementary teacher here on the coast. Poker is the one thing that I can truly say is more challenging than 19 seven year olds in one room! So on the weekends when I venture off to the "Land of no children", I love to find a good limit game.

We usually play here along the coast, occasionally going to Philadelphia and Tunica. We hope to take a short trip to Vicksburg soon. I also play at PokerStars where I'm building my bankroll for some higher stakes tournaments some day.

My favorite poker players to watch are Daniel Negreneau and Scotty Nguyen. Daniel is one heck of a player and Scotty, well, he's just the coolest guy in poker "baby".

Wow kev you have a great girl. I've been lookin for someone who enjoys the game as much as me but can't find one. I have lost the love of my life due to poker. She just didn't understand my love and passion for the game. One thing i didn't understand is that it payed the bills but i guess i didn't have enough time to spend with her. By hte sound of things you 2 are very happy, for that i have to give you props. I am new to the area just moved down from ga. Hopefully i can make it big and find someone new to share my love for the game. Good Luck guys i wish you 2 the best.

Thanks so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it. My wife is really amazing and I'm very fortunate. I hate to hear about you losing someone you cared about so much. Poker, like anything (regular work, sports, etc) can take up a lot of time when you want to be successful at it.

Everything happens for a reason and I have no doubt that you'll find someone who appreciates who you are. Maybe she'll even like poker!

I'm working on it! I've played a little bit online. I'm working on reading hands, so next time I won't lay down the nuts! LOL I'm gonna take my chances in a live game soon.
