Hi everyone! My name is Kevin and I started Gulf Coast Poker to build a community and resource for area poker players. I hope you will join us in discussing a game we all love! Here's a little more info about me and my poker career.

My wife and I began playing poker the summer of 2004 (during the initial poker boom or "Moneymaker Effect" as it's been called). I quickly developed a passion for No Limit Texas Hold'em and started my poker bankroll by budgeting for several months while I read poker articles and poker books.

I tried the 4/8 game at the Grand Biloxi, but really loved the No Limit Tournaments we played at home. So I started playing some of the lower buy-in live tournaments, but really started my education playing online poker.

I first deposited at PartyPoker with $500. I got a $100 bonus with a poker bonus code and quickly cleared that while playing the $25 No Limit tables. Believe it or not, within just a few weeks of playing online poker I made over $4,000!

My wife needed a new car so I cashed it all out to help pay all cash. I've done similar things every since. Build up a bankroll then cash out. My next project is to build up a roll for next year's WSOP in Las Vegas!

Now I play on Full Tilt Poker, Poker Stars, and Ultimate Bet. I also love playing live No Limit (when trying to make some real money) and 1-4-8-8 Limit Hold'em (when we go to goof off and have a couple of beers).
