it depends on who im playing against and how im running. if we're down to me and a few donkeys that are hitting cards then ill chop. but if ive got three or four good players and i running decent, ill try to out play them and go for the win. or if im hurting for money then ill go for the chop. im a gambler though so most of the time ill go for the win.
You've brought up an interesting point that I had not considered. I've always thought that having good players left at the end was a bad thing and gave me more of a reason to chop. It actually gives you more of a reason to play it out (if you're a good player) because of being able to outplay them. Whereas, having poor players that call too much is more of a reason to chop, since it truly comes down to who gets the luckiest. Very interesting.
Personally, I'm not a big gambler. When I play in these live donkaments it's usually outside of my bankroll anyway, so I'm usually happy with a chop that adds $300 to the roll.
